This traditional Hindu costume for women is pre-sewn for ease of use, ready to wear. The skirt, adjustable with a drawstring, incorporates a sari petticoat and pre-made fan pleats, while the sewn-in bustier closes from the front. Simply fold the veil into a fan at the ends, wrap it around the waist and drape it over the shoulder.
Tip: To keep the veil in place over the shoulder, attach a brooch or safety pin to it inside the bustier. Thus, the sari will remain in place.
Instructions for wearing the saree:
After putting on the bustier and skirt, pull the stole attached to the skirt from the back on the left, bring it back to the waist on the right side, then place the folded stole on your left shoulder. (There are several ways to drape the stole; you can also create your own style!)
Unstitch the small thread at the bottom of the skirt that holds the folds of the sari, for an easier fan-shaped opening and a more comfortable walk.
Washing and ironing advice:
Hand wash recommended.
Use a thick cotton cloth as an intermediary between the iron and the sari. Never iron directly on the fabric.
